Q: What are my payment options for home care services?A: Home Sweet Home In-Home Care accepts a number of payment options for our home care assistance services, including private pay, Medicaid, private insurance, auto insurance, long-term care insurance, Veteran’s Aid and Attendance, and worker’s compensation. Q: Is your Michigan home care company licensed?A: There are no licenses for home care agencies required or obtainable in the state of Michigan. However, Home Sweet Home In-Home Care is committed to only the highest standards of care, which includes hiring only the best caregivers and creating a safe, healthy environment for each of our clients that enhances quality of life and fosters independence.
Q: Are your caregivers insured and bonded?A: Yes, all Home Sweet Home caregivers are licensed, bonded, and employed by our agency. For your security and protection, we do not work with contracted caregivers.
Q: What are the advantages of home care?A: Home care services allow seniors and disabled individuals the opportunity to remain safe and independent in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes as opposed to moving into an assisted living or nursing home facility.
Q: Who can receive home care assistance?A: Anyone who needs a helping hand in order to perform activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, etc.

Q: How quickly can I arrange for service?A: At Home Sweet Home In-Home Care, we understand that the need for care can occur quickly and unexpectedly. We can arrange for service for your loved one within 24 hours.
Q: Do you require a commitment to a minimum of hours and days a week in order to provide care?A: We do require at least a two-hour/day, two-day/week minimum shift.
Q: Are your services covered by Medicare?A: Medicare does not directly cover the costs of our senior care services, but some clients may be dual-eligible for Medicaid/Medicare. Contact our team today and we can help you determine your payment options.
Q: Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?A: Yes. We offer our home care services in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or anywhere your loved one calls home.
Q: What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?A: Whenever a caregiver is out for illness or any other reason, we will make arrangements as soon as possible for a substitute caregiver to assist you.
Q: What kind of services do you provide?A: We offer a wide range of non-medical home care services, including personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, transportation, meal preparation, and much more. Q: How are your caregivers screened?A: All our caregivers are thoroughly screened and interviewed to ensure that we hire only the best, most professional caregivers in Michigan. Each caregiver must pass reference and criminal background checks, as well as a drug test and DMV screening.
Q: What kind of training do your caregivers receive?A: We strive to provide our caregivers with frequent, valuable training opportunities to help them stay up to date on the best care practices. Our caregivers receive in-service training along with required online training courses that far exceed state requirements.
